Honeywell Bendix King FMC

Have downloaded Global Express 7000 which has FMC fpr GA use. Supposedly good extra but cannot get to work properly. I can enter a flight plan but do not understand where to enter SID/STAR and then once in the air does not seem to switch on. Have read manual but no further light.
Anyone familiar with this beast and can help much obliged
