Hi guys,
Here comes another flight report of another MPSession. In the meantime I have also FSX and used it for this MP-Session especially to make use of the Milviz F-15E
The weather was also not the best as it was rainingmin the beginning. Pär was joining with his Mustang once more and Stefaan told me he would be late, but he came home too late to be able to join the session at all, so it was only Pär and me making this fligth today.
Pär's Mustang in the rain on the ramp:
Then it was finally time to depart. I am holding short of runway 35 as Pär is on his takeoff run.
The second touch and go at Val De Loire AB (LFOT). The clouds are hanging low...
Then on final approach to Biard runway 21.
Closing in to Pär, which was not easy with this weather.
Next climbing out of Marce (LFJR) after the touch and go there:
Overhaed at St Jacques (LFRN) before maneuvering over the airfield and starting the touch and go here. Pär was ending his flight here as it was getting late for him. I continued alone to the final destination...
Well for the remainder of the flight I started to climb to FL300 and enjoyed the default FSX terrain and I must say: I really don't like it!
Well, I only used dry thrust on the F-15E, but that was enough to go over Mach 1 already!
I started my approach to the final destination at Lannion (LFRO) directly out of FL300. Speed brake extended and nose down. Here we go:
Looking good so far, still on idle thrust...
But I had the impression that the Strike Eagle floated too long above the runway, which is rather short, so I decided to go around - no problem with full AB
Left downwind:
And on final again:
And finally arrived at the parking position on a ramp at Lannion after a fliyng time of about 1:49.
It was a rather intersting Session. I think I will have to do some changes to FSX for the next flight to get some better frame rates. A resolution for the REX textures for the clouds of 4096x4096 is definitely too high for my graphics card.
So I hope to see you again next week for another MP Session.
