And another MP Session went by on another Saturday with some great airports to pass by. Normally the first leg would have required a faster aircraft as the first airport was about 280 NM away from Cancun. My personal decision was it to take the Super King Air and throttle up to maximum. I thought by the time I would arrive at Playa Baracoa the other pilots would be ready to go. Damn was I wrong They almost hadn't have time to switch to the slower aircraft by then. So it wasn't a touch and go, but a full stop to wait for Pär to get ready. Unfortunately Vic had to leave early, which only kept Pär Stefaan and me flying along, with later on Pär dropping out as well due to 'technical reasons'
So Stefaan and me continued to Jardines Del Rey. But it is about time to show you some of the pictures.
Initial flight plan called for FL220, but we all climbed to FL240, and so here we go - ehem, fly.
Some cloudy weather en-route.
Now we have some great weather...
And again some scattered clouds...
Then it was time to descend to Playa Baracoa - and it was a quick descend flying the Barbers pole
On final to RWY 02 and the guys are already there.
Taxi to the ramp and on the right side you can see Pär, who already had switched to the Kodiak, whilst Stefaan also stayed in his Conquest.
After the short stop it was time to move along and so we departed on RWY 02 again and climbed to 1500 feet this time. Unfortunately the visibility had decreased a little bit and it became hazy.
En-route to Varadero MUVR.
And on short final to Varadero RWY 06 a little bit too low according to the PAPI...
I think shortly thereafter Pär dropped out and so only Stefaan and me were left for the remainder of the Session.
And then there was another low approach, this time it was Las Brujas. For some reason I had forgotten that I had installed a very nice looking scenery. Although I had some big problems taking pictures I managed to take at least a few...
Then we arrived at Jardines Del Rey and there again Stefaan and I had the same (beautiful) scenery installed.
There we are next to each other on the ramp in front of the small terminal.
Hopefully next weekend Pär has solved his problems and Vic will be able to join for some time longer, so we can complete the flight together and fly to Miami.
Until then have a great week and take care.
