Climbing out following our departure.
The moon somewhere to the north.
Following the Hector transition inbound to HEC.
Our FMC:
Leveling off at FL360 just before HEC.
And right turn over HEC to join airway J6 to Palmdale.
Passing by at Victorville (Southern California Logistics KVCV).
Step climb to FL380.
Inbound to San Marcus VOR.
Passing by San Marcus now, 3 minutes ahead of schedule.
Heading out over the Pacific inbound DINTY intersection.
After some 4.5 hours later we are closing in to Kahului (PHOG) about 25 more minutes to fly already descending out of FL400, to which we climbed some time earlier.
Time for our approach briefing:
We would arrive via the Maui VOR (OGG) and fly to the initial approach fix HARPO and enter the short base leg mainly flown with a constant bank angle and intercept the localizer for runway 02. The
LANDING RESULTS 9767 PHOG RWY02 22JUL11.txt (Size: 1.05 KB / Downloads: 1) opted for Autobrakes set to 3 on an autolanding, but I opted to land by hand and so I selected for Autobrakes set to 4.
Kahului airport ahead of us.
We are too high, hence the speed brakes are deployed.
Passing HARPO intersection.
Final for runway 02 with US Air flight 432 in front of us on short final.
We had landed and we are now taxiing to the ramp and in the foreground you can see the runway textures disappearing. Nevertheless this Hawaiian Airports Vol. 2 is a great addition to the Flight Simulator.
Here we are after a flying time of 5:30 and a block to block time of 5:49. Upon arrival at the gate and shutdown we had still 9 tons of fuel remaining which should have been 9.9 tons according to the flightplan.
OK, here we are now and now it is time to head out to the beach.
