The first revenue flight with the new B777-200F PJ-LRG took us from Boeing Field to Fairbanks. After two shorter test flights (BFI-LAX, LAX-BFI), this was the first flight carrying 171234 lbs of cargo bound for Alaska.
The flight was flown on September 10, but now I find time to do this short report.
After an uneventful departure from Boeing Field, we are in the cruise already somewhere over Alaska.
And again some time later nearing Fairbanks...
And there is Fairbanks Airport. We are currently setting everything up for the approach to runway 02L, which will basically a downwind approach.
Already aligned with the centreline.
Obviously winter hasn't arrived yet, but we will concentrate on the approach and so the gear is already down.
Looking good - in many ways
Taxi in to the ramp near the beginning of runway 02L. Somebody seems to have called for an ambulance - that wasn't us.
Turn left now!
On blocks and unloading the aircraft already.
After a flying time of 3:09 and a block to block time of 3:33 we had a very nice flight. In the meantime the B777-200F has arrived at Nassau as flight TL0912-13, so our brand new B777-200F is well into business.
BTW all available textures for the PMDG B777-200LR/F can be downloaded here. I am sure Jack will add them to the fleet with the October update as the latest, but who wants to fly them earlier can do so now!
Nevertheless enjoy a beautiful aircraft.
