I plan on doing a cross country flight over the Australian continent using the wonderfull FTX/ORBX sceneries available (http://fullterrain.com/)

The whole trip will span over 4970 nautical miles going from Busselton in the SouthWest to Murray Island in the Northeast.
Map of the whole trip so far:...

The first leg of this trip is from Busselton (YBLN) to Jandakot (YPJT) with a direct distance a little under 100 nm.

Fort this rather short trip I decided to take my Cessna 172N out of the hangar.

Leaving Busselton and taxiing to RW03 considering the wind conditions

1 notch of flaps and powering up...

and in no time we were airborne

... making a left hand turn towards the coastline that we would follow during most of the flight while cruising at 1500 ft...

...soon overflying the little coastal town 'Capel'

and 'Clifton'

... Closing in on the destination, over 'Kwinana Town Centre'

Last part of the leg we followed autoroute 2 leading straight to Jandakot.

Wind conditions favoured a RW12 (bottom screen) approach so I was setting up for a left downwind ...

And going to final

followed by a smooth approach and touchdown

Hmmm... the Royal Aero Club looks like a nice place to hang out ;-)

Total block to block time: 1 hour 14 minutes

Flown using:
Microsoft Flight simulator X
Carenado C172N
Active Sky 2012 for weather
Scenery: FTX/Orbx AU + YBLN / YPJT

Great pictures Stefaan - I'm planning a similar "trip" from Alaska to the tip of South America passing through the ORBX Canada and USA sceneries and this is just what I need for motivationThumbup

I'd say Go for it Steve, that scenery is definitely worth it.
After Aussie, I will cruise the NA and NZ sceneries also :-)
