Hi fellow pilots.
Tradewind Alaska has been chartered by the Dallas Cowboys Football Team to fly them to their final game against the New York Jets. Our flight was scheduled to depart quite early in the morning at 13:00Z which is 07:00 local time. Our flight number would be TAA9906 as common for the Dallas Cowboys.
What should I say, but catering and servicing the aircraft took a little bit longer than expected:
A couple of minutes later than originally scheduled we were ready for push-back.
At 13:09Z finally we started to push-back.
Our marshaller is leaving and soon he will wave us 'good-bye'.
Then we were finally able to taxi to runway 18L/Z. We would take off from the intersection with taxiway Zulu, which still would give us some very good stop way, although we had a very high assumed temperature set with flaps set to '5'.

At 13:17 we were airborne and climbing out via SOLDO2 departure to El Dorado.
The sun is starting to show up on the horizon.
Turning over the DFW area.
The sun is still coming up. Already New Year in some regions of the world.
Cruise at FL370:
47 minutes into the flight still at FL370 (and we won't climb higher).
Over one hour later we are close to FKN VOR.
We are already on our arrival route and descending towards New York, still not knowing which runway to expect.
After we received the ATIS from Kennedy it became clear that we could expect runway 04R.
Passing CARMN right now:
Now we are about to intercept the localizer for runway 04R.
Runway ahead.
Taxiing in via taxiway 'F'.
Ah, we are not alone. There are some aircrafts of the 'mother company'.
On blocks at 16:07Z as we touched down at exactly 16:00Z.
The flight lasted a little bit longer than calculated by dispatch, but that was not a problem. In the end the Dallas Cowboys arrived at Kennedy after a very calm flight. Now they only need to win the game to give us a good ending of the regularly pro-football season.
