FTX Australia journey 04 - YPLC YMML - TCA2050 - 02-19-2012 The fourth leg of this journey takes us about 470 nm further southeast to Melbourne and for this flight I'm bringing along my Cessna C206. Overview of the trip: Getting ready to leave Port Lincoln Taking the wind conditions into account, we took off from RW19 and climbed to 5.500 ft which would be our cruising altitude for the whole flight. Shortly after take off, turning left to get on course towards Melbourne Enjoying the landscape along the way... Over Coorong Little Desert National Park Callawadda Closer to Melbourne the terrain got a bit more 'hilly' Grampians National Park Over Lexton Finally over the last ridges, at about 30 nm northwest of Melbourne. Melbourne YMML ahead, and turning downwind for a visual approach to RW34 Turning base with the city in the background... and settled for a smooth approach to RW34 Taxiing towards the ramp with a view at the main terminal and finally arrived at our parking spot near the cargo area.
