MP Leg 033 PAYA - PAWD - TCA2050 - 10-31-2010

Some of my screenshots of this session

First, map of the flight

Preparing for departure from Yakutat, you can see Christian's FW in the distance behind some fuel drums.... thirsty plane...

Christian is taking off, I'm about to line up.

And a few moments later we left Yakutat, Christian and Par ahead.
This time round Vic wasn't there yet, but a few moments later we flew some rounds so he could catch up.

Doing some circling waiting for Vic to join us, Christian is in the lower left corner.

First TG at Icy Bay....
Center left, Vic is trying out the opportunities the Duke gives as an SUV by doing his TG on the road, now that's precision Vic !

Second TG location today, Yakama.

Here we're enroute to Cordova, Par and Vic behind

... with lot's of views over snow capped mountains

On final for my TG at Cordova..

And away we go, to circle around the airport once more and the set sail to the next destination

At Whittler, I noticed too late that we were there so I went for a flyby...
Vic is climbing out again and Christian is on approach.

The sights and sounds of Alaska near Chenaga Bay

and the final destination for today, Seward, rolling out on RW33

This was again a memorable session.
Next week I'm at the FSWeekend at Lelystad.... so we'll be back in a few weeks time

MP Leg 033 PAYA-PAWD - RedBaron - 10-31-2010

We had another nice MP Session and departed almost just in time during a beautiful morning dawn, although the weather was not the best...

Here you can see Stefaan and Pär somewhere ahead of me and during that time Vic had joined and needed some time for set up. We used the time to circle the area to wait for him.

After Vic had joined us on our trip, we came up to Icy Bay. The runway was really difficult to find as it perfectly blended into the terrain. So it happened, that I had to go around as I missed it, Pär had to go around as he still was too high and Vic landed on a nearby road. I think only Stefaan was able to learn from our early mistakes and made a nice touch and go.

The runway is in the middle of the right side of the picture almost in an extended center line before the river makes the left swing.

Here you can see Stefaan during his touch and go.

After we all had managed Icy Bay it was time to move on to Yakataga.

Next was Cordova and here I am on approach to RWY 27, although the winds were in favor for RWY 09, but we had rather calm winds at about 5 knots.

After I did my approach I watched Stefaan.

He was followed by the other guys.

Vic is performing his touch and go.

Passing Vic. I did it really fast - he probably didn't notice it...Rofl

Next was Johnstone Point which I skipped and if you look a the picture you will probably realize why: the runway is partly in the water. Biggrin

Then we came close to two waypoints: NAKED and KEBAB. Most of the Europeans will know Kebab.Music

Then again I flew along with Stefaan, but he was coming closer and closer and in the end I had to throttle back to idle and break right to avoid a Mid-air.

But he was charged the correct way. Rofl

Welcome to Seward:
Vic has just landed on the airport and Pär has landed just in front of the airport in the water.

Stefaan, uhm, has arrived using new techniques.

OK, thank you for flying. we will now have a break of two weeks during next weekend some of our pilots will join together in real life in Lelystad during the FS Weekend.

Hi guys,

Great screenshots, and thanks again for a most enjoyable MP Session! I guess I need to get some tundra tires for my off airport landings! LOL.

Have a great couple of weeks,
