Note: This is the check list for the real aircraft. It has been simplified but

not all functions listed are modelled for Flight Simulator.

Conventional outside checks should be made. Checks special to the SD3-60 are:

Propellers Ties removed. Free to rotate.

NOTE:

If ITT remains high delay setting the start switch to STOP until ITT

falls. If ITT persists, shut the LP fuel valve.

Generator switch (internal start only) ON


Starting second engine


Door warning EIs SHUT

Generator ammeter (first engine) Below 250 amp (internal start only)


Subsequent procedures as for first engine but do not switch on second

generator.


Ventilation start


Allow fuel to drain for 30 sec. Starting procedure as normal except:-


Ignition OFF


Allow engine to rotate for an additional 10 seconds after 10% Ng

Ignition NORMAL

Fuel lever GROUND




AFTER STARTING BOTH ENGINES CHECKS

Prop levers Taxi rpm. Cycle on first flight of

the day then taxi rpm.


NOTES: l. Selection of Feather during ground operations is prohibited

other than during auto feather check and engine shut-down.


2. All engine and propeller function checks including Auto feather

Test must be carried out with the aircraft facing into wind

+ or - 45 deg.





PROPELLER OVERSPEED GOVERNOR TEST - before test or training flight


First engine


Prop lever Max. rpm

Power lever Set to give 1,620 prpm

Overspeed governor test switch TEST and hold. Prpm drops to

1,565 + 30

Release. Prpm slowly increases

to 1,620
